Architectural Restoration Program
Purpose of the Program
The increase in the level of awareness of the society on conservation is becoming a driving force to mobilize local governments in this context. Within this driving force, restoration projects, which are tendered to companies by local governments, come to the forefront as an interdisciplinary work carried out by experts in their field. Today, restoration projects and practices are criticized by different disciplines and it is seen that the issue of whether people have the expertise to take part in restoration work has become the focus of discussions.
One of the biggest shortcomings for rapidly growing businesses is the need for qualified personnel with technical and technological knowledge. The use of technological methods in today's production, the fact that designs and measurements are made in computer programs and the technical properties of the materials used are constantly changing, reveals the need for trained technical staff more clearly. This situation increases the importance of employees trained at least at the level of technician who have the ability to easily adapt to new systems, to follow the developments in the sector, and to improve themselves and their work.
In this context, the aim of the Architectural Restoration Program is to train qualified personnel for architectural restoration drawing and applications.
